Rabies virus antigen test card (colloidal gold method)

Rabies is a zoonotic acute infectious disease caused by rabies virus (RBV) infection. It is characterized by excitement, paralysis, and high mortality.

This reagent is used to detect rabies virus antigen in saliva secretions of dogs and cats, and can be used for rabies virus infection screening and auxiliary diagnosis.

[Principle]

This reagent is made by the principle of colloidal gold immunochromatographic test (GICA). After the sample is added to the sample well, it moves along the chromatographic membrane with the colloidal gold label. If the RBV antigen is present in the sample, the detection line will be purple. The absence of RBV antigen in the sample did not produce a color response.

[Sample preparation]

1. Swab from the mouth with a cotton swab. (Sample collection directly affects the accuracy of test results, and should be ensured to be correct and sufficient.)

2. Immediately insert the cotton swab into the sample tube containing the sample diluent. Stir the cotton swab until the sample on the cotton swab is completely dissolved in the diluent. Squeeze the cotton swab on the wall of the tube and discard it. Leave the sample liquid to stand by.

【experiment method】

1. Tear off the aluminum foil packaging bag of the test card, remove the test card, and place it on a flat, clean surface.

2. Pipette the prepared clear sample supernatant with a matching pipette, and slowly add 2-3 drops (about 60ul) into the sample well vertically and slowly.

3. Leave at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to judge the results. Results longer than 20 minutes are invalid.
